A good condition racket HAZELLS PATENT STREAMLINE. This style of racket was Patented by Bunny Austin in the 1930s. Good original gut strings 100%.Blue binding& decoration. Good decals No splits or cracks or warping. Great iconic racket.

ANTIQUE FLAT TOP FISHTAIL HANDLE TENNIS RACKET.
A good Ash Frame Tennis Racket. The head is of the old style Flat Top.The strings are really Thick Gut. The long thin handle is finished in a classic Fishtail Shape. There are 2 cracks to the frame. (Please see photos). The Racket is stamped in gold THE ASSOCIATION No3 on one side and has a Makers Name to the other. I just cannot read the name.Everything about this racket guives the feeling of an early racket/ The really slim Handle the rounded Wedge there is even a slight Lob shape to the head. Weight 12 3/4ozs

All the Measures have Linen Tapes. Sometimes the brass piece from the end of the tape is missing. In these cases I try and replace the part with a similar age piece.All for sale individually,

On offer is a quite rare image from the late Victorian era. The photograph shows a Group of Young Ladies in Victorian Tennis Attire. They each are holding a Lawn Tennis Racket of the time, Flat Top Rackets. The image size is 8.5in by 6in. The image is mounted on board overall size 12in by 9in. There is some discolouration to Mount but image is still clear and sharp. All Original not a later reproduction. The lid has a fantastic illustration of Fairies & Elves playing Ping Pong. Lid states that it can be bought at Hamley Bros Toy Warehouse 512 Oxford st near Marble Arch. The box contains a Pair of Vellum Drum Battledores. Wooden handles, the heads are edged in red leather. Stamped PING PONG.
