A stunning Silver Medal still in its original silk lined leather case.The central panel is a Gold Globe mounted with delicate fixings. The medal is decorated in diamond cut scroll work. The reverse is hand engraved LEANDER SWIMMING CLUB 120yrd HANDICAP 1st PRIZE WON BY PHILIP S.ROBEY AUG 6th 1894.Comes complete with Silver mounted yellow & black ribbon. Medal size just over 2in wide.

A set of 6 Silver and Enamel Golfing Prize Spoons. The spoons are mounted in a Velvet/Silk lined leather box. Each spoon is hallmarked to rear. The finial is superbly embossed with a detailed outline of a Priory. Blue enamel to rim reads PRIORY GOLF CLUB. The detail to the stem cannot be overlooked. There are pair of Crossed Golf Clubs which support the Finial and give a wonderful look to each spoon. Silver hallmarks for Birmingham (c/d/e) 1927/28/29.There is a tiny chip to the enamel on one spoon otherwise mint condition.

A great looking Players Money Clip from the Ryder Cup Match played at OAKLAND HILLS 2004 Europe Won. The clip is Gilt Brass with Enamel Finish. Includes the Two Flags and a replica of the Ryder Cup. The makers name to rear The Original Proclip 42035.There is an area below where the Players Name could Go. Money Clips are an American thing so I should think these were gifts from the U.S.A. I cannot believe I have this medal for sale. It is the 1910 GRAND CHALLANGE CUP PRIZE MEDAL won at Henley by MAGDALEN COLLEGE.Engraved 1910 to rim. Rare as hens teeth.Size 2in. Price 350.00. I also have 2 other medals won at Henley by Magdalen College later on 1932 Sculls Silver and Bronze I believe all 3 medals came from the same family.Please ask for details.SOLD

The rim is also engraved PRESd BY Mr J.LATEY JUNr V.P.L.S.C. AT WENLOCK BATHS PROF MOORES BENEFIT SEPT4th 1867. This is a super medal and is a very early Medal for Swimming Races. Size 2in. The Welsh Dragon is depicted in Red Enamel to the Gold centre of the medal. In Blue enamel are the words WELSH AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS. The reverse is engraved for 1928 Polytecnics S.C L.Marks. The medal is delightfully finished off with the Prince of Wales Plume supporting the Suspension Ring. Size 1.5in. A solid silver medal with the Cross of St Andrew in gold. The Gold central section has the Scottish Lion Rampant in red enamel. Around the outside is SCOTTISH AMATEUR FOOTBALL LEAGUE.(SOLD) The reverse is engraved GOUROCK H.S.F.P.S 1928/29 N.GILLIES. Great quality medal Hallmarked for Birmingham Maker Thomas Fattorini. I like the way the suspension ring is held aloft with the Scottish Thistle. Size 1.25in.£100.00

The medal shows a Caxton Printing Press with Crossed Golf Clubs. Reverse has the London Press details. The details mentioned above are engraved to lid of box. I believe the London Press Golfing Society was a prestigious Golf Club and one of the earliest Golfing Societies in London. Medal weighs 6gms.

A solid Silver hallmarked Golf Medal. The medal has a nice look about it as it is finished in a Gilt wash. Looks like gold but is silver. Golfer in full swing on oneside. Reverse is embossed THE ARTISANS GOLFERS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CLUB COMPETITION 1938 PRESENTED BY THE NEWS OF THE WORLD.Winners name and hallmarks. Artisans wer not full members of Clubs as they could not afford the fees, Some of the bigger clubs gave them restricted membership in return for work carried out on the course. Newspapers in England ofton sponsored large competitions to encourage readership of their paper. Medal size 1in.
