This is an amazing piece of work all Hand decorated hand coloured just like the Old Illuminated Book of Kells.
The Ryder Cup Took place in Muirfield that year Bernard Hunt was the British Captain and J.Burke was the American Captain. USA won 19 points to 13.
This is a one off piece of Ryder Cup History and really should be in a Museum somewhere.

A quite early Lofting Iron The iron head measures 4in long and 1.75in deep. The Ash shaft is full length and has a Russet Grip with original underlisting. The grip is loose at one point This club dates from the 1880s.Price £175.00

A very nice looking Long Nose Socket head putter. The red finish to the head is nicely balanced with a Black stripe within 2 Parallel lines. Stamped CUIRASS there is no maker’s name. Possibly by Craigie but am not sure. The name Cuirass means Breast Plate. This club has a Brass Face and a Brass Sole plate. Good exotic wood shaft finer grain than Hickory but I cannot name it. Good leather wrap around grip (possibly replacement).Club length 35in.

A good Patent Bussey Steel Socket Mashie. The blade is lightly marked with all the details. On the hozel you can quite patently see the Brass Socket Ring..
The full length shaft still has the Original Sewn Leather Patent Grip. The grip is marked . BUSSEY GRIP HANDLE. You can just see it in the photos. Hozel is 4in long as is the blade.

A very nice steel bladed putter with a six sided Bamboo Shaft. The blade is stamped Jack White Palakona reg.The full length shaft has Hardy Bros mark in ink. Hardys were famous for their Fishing Rods. Jack White was one of the very few who used the Palakona Shaft. Finished with a full length leather grip.

Both putters have Hickory shafts with wrap around grips.
